Data Residency

Control where data lives - and how long it’s kept.  Every account can have any number of Profiles - and you only need to set residency once per Profile.

When creating a new Account Profile, you can select where all its backups are stored: EU Central, EUS West, or US East.  This helps ensures compliance with client, corporate and regional requirements.

• One setting, applies to all Machines under that Profile
• Backups remain within the selected region for the life of the Profile
• No cross-region drift - data sovereignty made simple

 

Backup Retention & Scheduling

Every Machine can carry its own specific retention and performance settings:

• Retention (months): Decide how long backups are kept before automatic expiry (to save costs)
• Schedule: Daily, weekly, monthly - at a time that suits the client
• Bandwidth throttle & threads: Control performance impact on live systems
• Machine-specific overrides: Set unique retention, schedules and notifications as needed

 

This flexibility allows MSPs to tailor backup policy per client machine while keeping residency consistent per Profile.
